Gwen In Doubt: A Tribute to No Doubt
Tamara Parel-Mclean started performing with Radio Rage, a band based out of
L.A., performing at such places as Disneyland and the Las Vegas strip.
While playing a gig at the Monte Carlo, Adrian Young (the actual drummer of
No Doubt) was in the audience and sat in with Gwen in Doubt.
Tamara has also played with cover bands in Northern CA., and top Casinos in
Reno, NV. When she would sing No Doubt songs and put on her blonde wig,
night after night, people would approach her and tell her that she looked
and sounded just like Gwen Stefani. Tamara was very flattered, but let it
go in one ear and out the other for a while. It kept happening. She would
be in a store or a casino and people would come up to her and tell her the
same thing. Even other musicians would say, "Hey, you should do a No Doubt
tribute!" It finally occurred to Tamara that she should take this wonderful
opportunity and put this project together. She loves Gwen Stefani's style,
and what a great artist to salute!
Tamara had to find the perfect players and she found the band in Reno, NV.
They were a cover band that was voted best band in Reno in 2002 by the Reno
Gazette Journal. Three of the musicians were the players for Rob Hannah's
salute to Rod Stewart at the height of his career.
Spike - Drummer, Vocalist, Comic. One of the newest features to the Gwen
In Doubt Show is the wild stage antics of the performer known as Spike.
Having spent a decade performing with Rob Hanna, Spike has built a
reputation as one of the premier performers in all of Nevada. Spike brings
a sensational combination of singing, playing, and providing humor to the
stage. In addition, Spike has written songs and recorded with Sammy Hagar
and members of the band Kansas. Spike has done live TV talk show
appearances on a few different television programs. He is currently a
Research and Development Artist for the DV Drum Company. Spike has also
had endorsements by Converse shoes and Budweiser. Witness the performance
of Spike. A truly unique
Experience.
Tommy "T-Large" Mclean - Keyboardist. The other new addition to Gwen In Doubt is the amazing play skills of Tommy Mclean. "T-Large" also arrived from the Rob Hanna Band, where he spent the last decade touring all parts of the United States and Canada. Tommy developed his exceptional skills and mastery of keyboards in the L.A. club scene for 15 years. Tommy also spent countless hours as a session musician. His recording contributions and credits in the Album projects of the Orange county music world are extensive. Tommy was also featured in the major label Texas band, Chasity Fox. Tommy now brings a musical depth to the Gwen In Doubt sound. The musical anchor in the Gwen In Doubt show, Tommy provides musical texture that is solid, warm, and of course, "Large." The perfect compliment to the Gwen In Doubt sound!
BAG - Bass Guitar - This popular newcomer is actually a veteran of rock's frequent flyer club. With numerous recording credits, as well as many television and radio appearances, this bassist has been heard round the world. Literally! With his solid sound and energetic personality, it is easy to see why Bag is a favorite at clubs, concerts, and festivals.
So when in doubt, hire Gwen in Doubt!
