NEXT LEVEL – BIO

NEXT LEVEL is a multi-talented, four-piece band consisting of three gentlemen and one lady.  The group performs a variety of material from current hits and 70s dance music, R&B, funk, rock, etc. to standards, Motown and oldies.  NEXT LEVEL can perform for corporate events, weddings and other private functions, festivals and larger concerts.  Next level performs in numerous casinos and hotels across the country and abroad.

Venus Campos is the lead vocalist with a powerful voice! Venus, a New Yorikan born in the era of love, afros and bell bottoms. She began her professional career at the age of fourteen. Venus was involved in a 100 student choir with her peers from across the nation. She received the solo “One Moment In Time” she was catapulted into a microcosm of autographs and National publication in the FFA Magazine. She later went on to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where she joined local Boston Reggae band “joint Chiefs”. Her Interest in following the footsteps of her favorites; Joni Mitchell, M’Shell NdegeOcello, Jeff Buckley and Stevie Wonder, landed her in Los Angeles where she met with Jeffrey Snyder, whom she had met in Boston, to start the original duo of Simpleflower. Now she is heavily involved in Funky soulful sounds of the NEXT LEVEL.

Allen Palmer is the founder and musical director for NEXT LEVEL. He is the lead guitarist, bringing a stylish, polished sound to the stage. Allen is also a gifted, versatile lead singer which only adds to his dynamic and captivating stage presence. He is the creative mind behind the musical direction and choreography for the group. Originally from Mississippi, Allen grew up in Los Angeles where he performed with Capitol Records recording artist Tracy Spencer and other name acts such as Tara Kemp, The Calloways, Nia Peeples and Billy Preston. He has appeared on The Tonight Show, The Arsenio Hall Show, The Rick Dees Show and The Party Machine. Allen is also an accomplished songwriter and producer/arranger and has a wealth of touring experience.

Paul Purtle is the bass player for NEXT LEVEL. He has been active in the L.A. music scene for years, working with the likes of Tommy Alvarado, Patty Janour, Loretta Holloway, Garth Brooks Tribute, and a host of other acts. In addition to being a seasoned and lively bass player, he has also worked in the studios, Night clubs, Hotels, Casinos. His talent as a musician has enabled him to tour extensively in Las Vegas, Hawaii, Alaska just to name a few. Paul’s expertise is a valuable asset to the recording projects currently underway with NEXT LEVEL.

Keith “Beattle” Price is the unmistakable powerhouse behind the drums. He brings a cutting edge, dynamic style to NEXT LEVEL. At a very young age Keith began drumming for his church in Grand Rapids, MI. Keith, later moved to Los Angeles. This is where he gained his studio experience in Recording, and engineering for famous singers, and groups which lead him to Drumming, and recording for such Artist as George Clinton, Rick James, Brenda Russell, El Debarge, and Coolio, just to name a few. “Beattle” is a very versatile Drummer, and is ready to take on any challenge.
